WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO...
All Nighter turns one! It's hard to believe that this wonderful show didn't exist a year ago. Since then, Rickey, Laura and producer Stephen have been working tirelessly to develop the show further. It's been and incredible year of ups and downs. We can't wait to see what the future has in store for our show. Watch this space!
p.s. this FB messenger is where it all began!
Laura and Rickey spent the first six months of 2021 writing new orchestrations for the latest version of the show, featuring an eight piece band. It's taken hundreds of hours to create not only full scores, but also demo backing tracks as well. The show is sounding so great - can't wait to share it with you!
Then came the day jobs... Rickey and Laura took a hiatus in writing to get back to performing. Rickey is on tour with Grease the Musical as Assistant Musical Director, and Laura has been working on Annie, as well as writing a new play and a series of monologues.
The original cast plus some local musical theatre students join forces to read and sing through the latest draft of the show which included 4 new songs, and a revised libretto. We were lucky to be joined by a group of students from some of the leading performing arts colleges in the UK to sing the ensemble tracks.

Rehearsing new material ahead of All Nighter's second run. Laura and Rickey wrote three new songs for this production including cast favourite 'Breathe'.
'The combination of the well-crafted libretto and the fantastic music had me laughing one minute and literally in tears the next.'
'Each cast member delivered a seemingly faultless performance.'
'The fully staged, brilliantly orchestrated mini-musical performed to a level that suggested weeks rather than three days of rehearsals.'
