Home.: Welcome

Who saves the lifesavers? One trauma too many pushes a young paramedic to the edge, and the night shift has only just begun.

In August 2020, Laura Simpson messaged Rickey Long to see if he wanted to “have a go at writing something together". They set themselves the deadline of one week and booked a performance venue, cast 7 actors and 4 musicians to perform the show. â€‹

Rickey Long is a professional Musical Director and one of the many artists globally who has been significantly affected by the pandemic, and whilst theatres across the UK were closed, Guernsey in the Channel Islands was Covid free and life is back to normal - with arts events continuing after a brief hiatus. Laura Simpson is a playwright and director who spent her lockdown designing online learning for children, as part of her former job as a primary school teacher. All Nighter is the first musical Rickey and Laura have written together, but certainly not the last...

The first workshop of All Nighter was written in just one week and was performed on 22nd August 2020. The piece played to a sell out audience and raised more than £1000 for ORCA and The Theatre Community Fund. Since then, the show has been presented by Tin Whistle Theatre Company in September, as part of the ongoing development of the show.

Rickey and Laura are now further developing All Nighter for a future production (pandemic willing!).  All Nighter the Album is due to be recorded in 2022.
